history:
Delaney was born in La Push in 1975 to Quil Ateara Sr. and his wife. She had an older brother named Quil Jr. Her life growing up was just like any other girl on the reservation. Except she'd always been the loud routy one. She was always in trouble. When she was sixteen she ran off with one of her friends to get tattoos by a man in Port Angeles. When they arrived, her friend went first but Delaney chickened out. She promised to return when she had the courage and did. Except this time she went alone. She was nineteen and when he attacked her, she had no clue what would happen. She thought she was going to die as she tried to struggle while he drank her blood. He never finished her off, claiming afterward that he thought they could be mates.
She never stayed and gave him the chance. She was too angry with him for turning her into a monster. She ran off and attempted to return to her normal life. She survived on the blood of animals, refusing to kill people. It was hard to resist at first. She had to avoid her home for almost a year, living on the outskirts of La Push. Finally she felt like she could be around people without going into a frenzy. When she returned she recieved less than a happy homecoming. Her grandfather kicked her off the reservation. He knew right away what she was. So she left.
For eight years she lived alone in an abandoned cabin in the mountains. That is until she ran into some familiar creatures on a hunt one night in 2003. She nearly attacked Emmett Cullen that night when she saw him. She'd never met another vampire like herself. One who didn't kill humans. Carlisle welcomed her as a guest in their home whenever she needed company. She took up his offer often and soon became great friends with the whole family. Since she met him she has always had a fondness for Emmett.
Now she lives only a short distance from the Cullen's and visits often. Her fondness for emmett is turning into more. She is falling in love with him and despises the fact that she can't have him because he has Rosalie. She works as a fashion designer for a company in Seattle. She works at home most of the weeks and travels there during the weekends. She sees her nephew Quil in Forks with some of his friend on occassion but doesn't speak to him. She fears he will reject her as well. She has only seen her father a few times in the last twenty years. And those were by accident.
"You will never put me through that again."

Isaiah hadn't spent a lot of time alone lately. It was a miracle that he was alone now. Bella was in school, of course. That was the only time he didn'tspend with her. He made excuses for why he couldn't go to school and pick her up and all that jazz. He just didn't want to be well known in town. It was bad enough he was dating the sheriff's daughter. Charlie hated Isaiah. Absolutely hated him. Isaiah wasn't looking for his approval though. The only approval he needed was Bella's; and he had hers. She was with him all the time so obviously she approved of his company. He loved every inch of attention she gave him too. He hadn't been held by a woman since before he was turned. Just held. Of course he'd had his flings with other vampires, but never something as romantic as he had with Bella. She'd opened his eyes in a different way.
He'd never intended to grow attached to Bella. She was his prey. Something he had intended te be his food. Of course his way of hunting was different from others. He lured his prey in. Once they trusted him completely, then he attacked. That way, no one would suspect him. Plus a few times, people had left him generous amounts of money in their wills. He never turned that down. Of course, now that he dwelled upon this, it seemed awful. The wind was rushing past his face as he ran through the woods. He was headed for the meadow Bella had told him about. She'd never brought him there but he had discovered it soon enough with her directions. She refused to go there with Isaiah, saying that it reminded her too much of Edward.
He grimaced at the thought of Edward. He had her. Isaiah had Bella physically, but Edward had her heart. He could tell that Bella's heart was somewhere else when they were together. She tried to hide it but she couldn't. Love does strange things to people. As it was doing to Isaiah now. The girl he'd meant to kill at one point, was actually growing on him. She was actually starting to mean something to him. It was ridiculous but he was falling in love with her. It was a serious case of lion and lamb. Isaiah skidded to a halt as he entered the meadow. The blue contacts in his eyes had dissolved and now his eyes looked to be a strange orange color. They had once been crimson. He figured they were in the process of transitioning. He'd been living off of animal blood for a little over a month now so his eyes would be gold soon and he wouldn't have to hide them behind contacts anymore.
Hiding things from people was so easy. Especially hiding things from Bella. She was amazingly gullible and didn't even know it. Of course he had an unfair advantage over her. He couldmake her do anything he wanted. "Damn it!" He hissed as he picked up a boulder and tossed it across the clearing. He was angry with himself. He felt so horrible. Bella trusted him and he had every intention of killing her. It would be easy except she was amazing. Absolutely perfect. He felt like a scum bag. Like the lowest piece of dirt in the world. He hated his plan. But that part of him that lusted for her blood loved the original plan. What was he to do?
He made his way to another boulder, large and flat, that was placed near the stream at the edge of the meadow. He could smell every flower and plant. He could hear the sounds of every living thing surrounding him. Even those in the house five miles away. These superhuman abilities made it impossible for him to ever just sit in quiet. He missed when things used to be quiet. Lately life had been so load and chaotic and he couldn't take it anymore. He was sure that if he'd ever had a problem before this one could top it. Afterall, did a human ever fall in love with a chicken? No, they raised it then killed it and ate it. So what was wrong with him? Why couldn't he just do what he orginally planned and get it over with? He let out another ground before pulling his knees to his chest and resting his chin on them.
