The recent tentions and arguements in the house had left Jasper feeling rather stressed and drained. Emotions in the Cullen house hold were normally high, but managable. However since Edwards arguement with Bella all the Cullens emotions were going wild. Of course it never helped that Jasper himself blamed himself for the mess. If he hadnt have lunged at Bella... If he had more control of his hunger, perhaps things wouldn't have been this way, Edward would have never left in the first place. It was made ten times worse by the way Alice had felt about the whole situation. It pained him to see his little pixie torn between her brother and her friend.
Jasper had tried his best to remain out of the situation, but he couldn't, Alice had been upset by it all and that in turn upset him. Though he had been using his gift to calm things in the household, everyone was on edge and it was making Jasper equally edgy. He had been spending his time with Alice trying to calm her, but he often found her emotions the hardest to deal with personally, especially on this subject. He was determined to help make her happy no matter what happened though, he loved Alice with every ounce of his being, how could he sit by and watch her in distress?
At that moment in time Jasper was changing, he had just had a shower after rolling around in the mud fighting with Emmett. Once again he had come away victorious, but rather muddy and grimey. His towel was wrapped around his waist as he opened his wardrobe and he sighed as he realise Alice had been rearranging everything again. Jasper was always insistant on hiding as much of his skin as possible, although he knew his scars were not so visible to the human eye, he hated them all the same. He knew Alice didnt mind them, to her they were just a part of what made him who he was. Alice... always looked on the bright side of things, unlike him.
He picked out a long sleeved top and smiled slightly as he heard, and smelt Alice outside the window... He guessed she had been out trying to talk to Bella, he might be wrong, but she was being terribly secretive about it. He laid the shirt on the bed and walked to the window opening it so she could jump up and in without having to face the rest of the family downstairs. He turned and slipped some pants on before removing the towel and throwing it into the basket in the corner. He continued to dress as he saw Alice lightly and gracefully leap into their room from a tree branch outside. He smiled gently to her 'Have a good time?' he asked as he buttoned his shirt.

Everything was on edge around the Cullen house, Edward was never in a good mood and always changing his mind about things making her head hurt with all the recent visions of the decisions that he’d made, she sighed to herself lightly and blocked him out, there were too many thing going on now that she was having visions of all different things without even wanting them, she wanted to concentrate on Jasper, let him know that she was alright but she couldn’t, because the truth was that she wasn’t alright.
For the past few weeks she’d been torn between her family member and the one human that she became friends with. She wanted them to just stop with all the fighting and changing their minds all the time, she didn’t know what the final outcome of this would be, it was changing all the time, when they made up it would be them together but another fight would start somehow and she would leave him again, or he would leave her. She was trying to stay in her happy mood like always, for herself and for Jasper, she could tell that all the high emotions in the house were starting to get to him and she felt a little bad for adding to it, she just wanted them to be happy, all of them. Maybe if her and Jasper just, ran away for a while… got a small place of their own not to far away then they could keep each other happy.
This thought alone made her happy, the two of them together and alone. She looked around the woods as she walked back to the house, she had needed a small break away from everything going on, but now she needed to be with Jasper, she didn’t like being away from him for too long and she’d been for what seemed like a long time. She smiled as the window to their bedroom opened, she could smell how clean he smelt from where she was. Leaping up she landed in a branch on the tree just outside their room, she gracefully jumped into their room and smiled at him, sitting down on the window ledge and watching him dress, she frowned lightly at the clothes he picked out, why could he never pick something that showed off just how handsome he was, she hated how he always let his scars and past control how he dressed and did things, she wanted a new life with him, and he couldn’t truly start living a new life until he let go of the past. "Not entirely" she said with a small smile on her face, she had to get over what he was wearing but it was a distraction from everything going on in her head, she just had to focus.

Seeing Alice sitting on the window sill sent a surge of happiness through Jasper. Even though he could feel the troubled emotions that seeped into the room. He pulled on his trousers and finished buttoning his shirt before moving to her, lightly taking her hand and pulling her up, spinning her gently on the spot before pulling her slightly closer to him. He did what he could to dampen those bad emotions, knowing that she needed him for escape just as much as he needed her. He sighed gently looking down into her eyes, he never felt whole when Alice wasnt by his side 'Do you want to talk about it?'
He worried about her so much, all his fears now revolved around her, the fear of losing her, the fear of her getting hurt. His life would be nothing if not for Alice, her faith in him had changed him from being a monster into being what he was today. Without Alice he would crumble and fall. She was his little pixie, so small and delicate. So graceful and loving, she was everything. No one understood Alice like he did, and no one understood him like Alice did. The corner of his lips curled into a smile remembering the day they had arrived in the Cullen household. How she so easily waltzed in like she had been living there for years, him standing awkwardly by the door watching his adoptive families shocked faces.
His life before Alice was filled with trouble, a life he wanted to forget, but somehow he just couldnt. He laid a hand on her shoulder and gently ran his thumb over the only scar that Alice had, the one from where she was turned. He gritted his teeth and frowned slightly, his muscles tensing at the thought of his own scars, but he shook it from him quickly, he didnt want those painful emotions to be felt by Alice. He moved his hand down to hers and laced his fingers with hers. He had detected her annoyance as he had dressed and he smiled sadly 'I am sorry Alice.' He knew she didn't like it, but his scars were the reminder of things he would rather forget. He had an idea how he could cheer her up though 'I was thinking perhaps we could take a trip to Seattle soon' He knew how much she loved her shopping, also it would mean they could get away from the family for a little while.

Alice couldn’t help but smile when she felt him become happy, she loved being able to feel his emotions, it was like they were a part of her and some how through the years they had become part of her, she couldn’t think of what she would do if he wasn’t with her, if she had never become a vampire and died of old age without ever having met him, she liked to believe that they were made vampires just so they could be with each other forever and never have to worry about loosing each other.
She giggled lightly in her bell like voice, it was a pleasant sound at that. She smiled up at him, he was so much taller than her but that’s why she was his little pixie, without him she wouldn’t be her. “Not really” she said as she was brought back into the emotions she’d been in before he spun her around, they were less but she couldn’t help but wonder what was going to happen in the near future to either bring her brother and friend both happiness or one of them pain.
Her expression lightened, her face held none of the emotions that she had felt before he touched her, seeing how he reacted to her scar made her want to comfort him, that scar was one of the reasons they were together right now, if she hadn’t have been turned who knows who she and he would have ended up with. She frowned lightly at the thought of him with someone else, she didn’t like that thought one bit. Lacing their fingers together she gently brought her hand up to his face and smiled at him, she wanted him to know that she was going to be okay with everything that was going on.
Her smiled brightened when he said he was thinking of going to Seattle, it would be just the two of them. She couldn’t see any visions but she could picture it in her mind, the both of them pretending to be just another happy, human couple. If only they were human, they could get married and have a family, live happily ever after and watch their kids grow up to live happily ever after as well. She brought her thoughts back to him, back to the present, the reality “I would love that” she tilted her head lightly to the side, just showing her affection, the thought of getting him into new clothes made her even more happy.

Jasper wasnt really suprised that Alice didn't want to talk about it. Everything was hard on all of them at the moment. Then again Alice may be stuck between the two but so was Jasper. More than that he had everyones emotions to deal with and it was making him uneasy. Although Jasper and Alice had arrived at the Cullen household together, he always considered himself the newest and weakest link in their chain. Alice's confidence in him kept him strong, but he always had his doubts. He wasn't as strong as her and even now found being around humans difficult. Sometimes Alice didnt always share her thoughts, sometimes he wondered if it was because she was scared he wouldnt be abl to handle all of the emotion.
He loved to hear his little Pixie laugh, even though it was getting rarer these days. She knew how to make him feel at ease. He smiled back as she gently touched his face, where would he be without his Alice? He leaned down letting his forehead touch hers as he gazed into her eyes. 'Everything will be okay Alice...' He comforted her, though he didnt know what the future held for them, he knew the sudden changes in peoples thoughts had been distressing Alice. He knew she didn't like it when her visions were uncertain, she was very rarely wrong but things could always change.
He took in a deep breath and let out a happy sigh, her scent just made him feel so happy and relaxed. His life without Alice would be no life at all, he knew that Alice felt the same way. 'What would I do without you?' He would crumble, he knew that for sure. He wouldnt be able to stay in the Cullen house without Alice, she was his rock. Jasper was glad fo this moment alone with her, they were getting fewer and fewer with what was going on.
He smiled and stood straight running a hand through his still damp hair. 'I thought you would pumpkin' The corner of his mouth curled slightly as his accent slipped through. He knew that Alice loved shopping, he also loved buying her gifts though it was so difficult to suprise her with something. Her gift was a blessing... but also a pain when trying to do something special. He senced the slight sorry in her emotions and tilted his head slightly, but they were soon replaced by her usual happy self.
He knew time away from the family was probably just what the couple required. 'I was thinking perhaps in the current climate some time alone is needed.' Alice knew all too well that things had to bad if Jasper was willing to forsake going to a crowded place like Seattle to get away from his problems. He needed the distraction and being able to endulge in Alices emotions and random strangers would be a welcome change to those of the Cullen household. 'Though I think a hunt is needed first.' Jasper didnt want to run any risks when being around so many humans.
